Residential Support Worker (RSW)

Residential Support Worker (RSW)

Our Residential Support Worker (RSW) is responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive environment and providing a high standard of primary care. The RSW is also responsible for assisting in admission and orientation routines for new client admissions, conducting safety inspections of belongings in line with agency policies to help ensure that sharp objects, drugs, etc., are not brought into the house.

RSW is expected to participate in developing a care plan for each client in the house program and manage daily structure and routines (i.e., wakeups, school, meals, daily chores and tasks, bedtimes, etc.). RSW must understand and practice harm reduction policies set out by the management team and relate any risk factors that jeopardize these policies.

*The Residential Support Worker (RSW) only works in hospice and supportive house organizations, and they are not available for personal clients.
